No Ties To Manufacturers
As independent consultants, we have no ties to equipment manufacturers and maintain complete, unbiased objectivity with all of our vendors and contractors. We keep a strict “Code of Business Conduct” that prohibits team members from accepting money or gifts from suppliers and manufacturers.
We operate in your best interest and provide unbiased objectivity when recommending equipment and installation services.
We keep your budget and project timeline foremost in our mind. Our goal is to make each project as simple and inexpensive for you as possible.
Ferhat Salah
Principal and Founder
With over two decades of experience, Ferhat Salah directs the firm’s activities, overseeing Meplan’s focus on serving client needs. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in the planning and design of a wide variety of healthcare facilities, including replacement hospitals, specialty hospitals, medical colleges, ambulatory care centers and numerous hospital expansions and renovations. Under Ferhat’s leadership, Meplan has secured its position as a leading medical equipment planning firm by designing and efficiently delivering facilities that enhance care, improve operations, and grow business.
Prior to founding Meplan, Inc., Ferhat consulted for New York Presbyterian Hospital, providing complete Medical Equipment Planning Services for both Columbia and Cornell Campuses as well as overseeing equipment programming, budgeting, planning, specifying and purchasing.
In addition to establishing Meplan to better serve the medical equipment needs in the U.S. market, Ferhat founded S.a.r.l. Safemed in 1991 to provide hospital equipment management services, distribute medical equipment and provide biomedical engineering services to all hospitals in Algeria. Prior to this, he was a department chief at En-Emedi, a national equipment company, responsible for equipment programming, specifications, documentation and procurement for all equipment to be imported.
Ferhat is fluent in English, French, Berber and Arabic and holds an engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Algiers (ENP).
